As Mississauga navigates recent economic challenges, including U.S.-imposed tariffs, it’s essential to reflect on the city’s resilience and strong growth as we move into 2025. The achievements of our businesses and entrepreneurs are a testament to the diversity of our economy and the collaborative spirit of our community.

In 2024, we marked the first year of operation of the IDEA Square One Entrepreneurship Hub, a key pillar of our innovation ecosystem. Through this initiative, we supported over 3,000 client inquiries, conducted 219 business consultations, and facilitated 325 jobs, underscoring our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and business growth.

Mississauga also saw significant investments, such as AstraZeneca’s $820 million commitment to their global hub, further demonstrating our city’s appeal to global enterprises and its role as a leader in innovation and job creation.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on enhancing Mississauga’s competitiveness and supporting businesses through our services. Together, we will continue to drive economic development and shape a prosperous future for our community.
